There are 2 leading actors in this film: The Dondup Woman – young and eclectic with a rock and roll soul; experimental but also ironic; seductive yet rigorous. The Dondup woman wears casual clothes crafted from innovative fabrics and adorned with luxurious prints.

The Dondup Man opts for an urban aesthetic, starting with a total look in denim but with a twist.  A vague spirit of 1950’s America remixed with 90’s grunge and a dash of sartorial elegance.

Raf Simons to design for Christian Dior

Raf Simons, the former director of Jil Sander, has been chosen to replace John Galliano at the Christian Dior fashion house.

After over a year of searching for a creative director to replace John Galliano, Dior has finally selected Raf Simons to lead the storied French fashion house.

Simons is known widely for his stark and minimalistic clothing — the things he designed for Jil Sander are always very clean, strong alternatives to the over the top designs often seen during couture week.
He got his start designing menswear in the 90s and started his own menswear label in 1995. By the time Jil Sander came calling in 2004, Simons was already an established industry force. (It was also rumored, however falsely, that he was going to replace Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent earlier this year.)

Today, we are sooo proud to be belgian!!
